Deer Hunting Big Bucks Next Years Equipment List

As I sit here by the fire on this frigid January evening, I was thinking about what it would be like to go deer hunting in Canada. What type of gear would I need? Here in Georgia we get some cold weather during hunting season, but Canada is a different story. I would love to go there hunting some big bucks. Which made me think about hunting equipment. I am in the process of making a list of deer hunting equipment I would like to get for next year. So when next season rolls around I will have the things that I need the most to go deer hunting. And not have to purchase them all right before the season. So here are a few of the things I’ll be hoping to ad to my arsenal of hunting gear.
The first thing I am looking at is a new trail camera. I have one that you put the film in(ancient), but I would like to have a digital camera that I could take the memory card out and infrared capability to avoid spooking the deer. And one that has high resolution for quality pictures of big bucks and does. And maybe an occasional raccoon or coyote. And one that is time and date stamped. I’m looking at several different ones comparing features and prices. The next thing I am looking at is either a new bow or a crossbow or a muzzleloader. I really need (would like to have) a new bow. I am still shooting aluminum arrows for gosh sakes. I’ve got a Miles Keller Legend and it’s been a good one but it’s time for an upgrade. I was contemplating getting a crossbow but I think I want the bow. I want to get a Pope and Young buck one day. Those are my big list items. Some of the smaller items are clothing, backpack, etc. My point here is now is a great time to start getting your list together for your hunting gear next year. If you spread it out between now and opening day it won’t hit you in the wallet all at once. And you will be better prepared for that trophy buck next year.
