Deer Hunting Big Bucks Like Father Like Son

img027.jpgHave you ever gone deer hunting big bucks with you father? I have been blessed to be able to go deer hunting with my father for many years now. And we still go hunting every year together. And I hope one day to be able to take my two young sons with me deer hunting. There is a special bond that a father and son make on those hunting trips. This is a picture of my father and I the first time I ever went deer hunting. I was sitting here trying to think of something to write about and I found a picture of my good buddy Mac with a deer he harvested, and a picture of his son Dustin with a deer he harvested. So I thought I would write about going deer hunting big bucks with your father. If you go deer hunting big bucks with your father, cherish those memories. They are memories that you will never forget. The first time I ever saw a deer I was hunting with Dad. I’ll never forget it. The first buck I ever harvested I was with my father. We still talk about that today. We love to go get after those trophy bucks. I remember the excitement in my fathers voice when he got one of his big bucks. Or he saw a bucks fresh scrape or rub. He would tell me all about the big bucks ways. And how the big bucks were so smart and elusive. He taught the deer signs to look for. And where to hunt the bucks. He taught me to respect the deer. I owe my passion for the great outdoors to my father. This is a picture of Mac and a trophy from Pulaski county in Georgia.Photobucket                                     And this is his son Dustin with a nice south Georgia trophy.Photobucket I wanted to include the story about Dustin’s big buck. They were On Dustin’s great grandfathers land in south Georgia, sixty five acres. It was mid November and sunny and around 40 degrees. Dustin unloaded his rifle and got down from his stand. It was about 10:30am.When he got down he put a bullet in the chamber. His dad was there. All of the sudden Mac whispered deer. He told Dustin to slowly move behind the ladder and prop his gun on it. When he finally got behind the ladder and looked at it in his scope. His dad said that is the biggest doe he had ever seen. The trophy starred at them for about ten minutes. His dad had just put his gun down and the trophy finally turned his head sideways and Dustin said Dad that’s a buck. Mac said is it outside its ears? Dustin said yes. Mac said shoot it. Dustin didn’t miss, the big boy dropped right there. It is his biggest and first racked buck. Great job Dustin! Hey Dustin, maybe we need to see about getting Dad some glasses. Just kidding Mac!
