Also to change the subject, my father went to deer camp and they found a nice shed this past weekend. The big bucks are starting to shed those antlers. Now’s the time to get out and start looking for them.

They were going to control burn, but couldn’t get a burn permit. It was real windy, so they couldn’t get a permit. I think they will burn some time this week.

The white bass and hybrids and stripers should be heading up the rivers soon to spawn. My job has me working six days a week. What I would give to spend a few days on the river catching some fish.

Also turkey season will start here in Georgia Easter weekend. It seems odd to be starting on Easter weekend. I have never been turkey hunting, but I think this year I’m going to see if my dad will call one in for me. I’m afraid I will be hooked if I do go.

Spring is a great time to get out and enjoy the great outdoors. And always remember to take a child hunting or fishing. I’m thinking about taking my two year old son fishing soon. I can’t wait to see him pulling in a fish. Just remember before you know it, it’ll be time to go deer hunting.
