I am in the same boat as Othmar. Although, I do like good stories - and for those I usually turn to Eastman's Bow Hunting Journal. Although they are becoming more and more obsessed with size over experience, I still find some gem of articles in their magazine. The North American Hunting Club magazine is another good one.

I used to subscribe to most of the hunting magazines that are available. After a year or two I got tired of reading the information over an over again with slight variations. Most advice given only pertained to managed private land and were absolutely useless for hunters hunting public land as the majority does.

These days I get my information form real live hunters and the Internet.

I love American Hunter as well as Peterson's bowhunting and Field and Stream. Field and Stream is a classic and a must have for any hunter out there.

I also enjoy some local publications as well. Michigan Out-of-Doors magazine as well as woods N water news.

I read all the time!!!

Man, I love GON! And I don't even live or hunt on the GA side... their forum on the website is great too. I can't believe SC doesn't have something comparable...
As for the rest, I love them all too. But I generally refuse to buy them anymore - Too much of the same stuff all of the time as well as too many articles that do not pertain to hunting in our area.
If you haven't already, you should check out the QDMA's quality whitetails mag. It is totally different from the rest by covering deer biology and behavior, land management, deer management and food plots.
