Hey...I shot a 10 pt this Fall....I am only 9. I WAS SO EXCITED TOO! I got a pumped when it came. My dad kicked it up behind me and it came runing...I yelled and it stopped on a dead run. I was like YES!! I shot and it tucked and ran...It ran about hmm say 19 yards and dropped. It was about 100 yards from a swamp. I was in a double stand.

Well said Rick. I want to thank Payton and you for letting me share the story of his first buck on my site. I know it is a memory that both of you will cherish for the rest of your lives. Spending time in the great outdoors is a privilege that I hope the next generation will grow up being able to enjoy and help preserve so their sons and grandsons can enjoy it. You being there with Payton when he harvested his first deer, spending time with him, and taking him hunting, tells me that you are a very good father raising two smart bright young men. And I am sure both of them will be very successful in whatever they do, and will lead happy productive lives.
Congratulations again Payton, on a great deer. I hope you take your son or daughter or both hunting with you one day and are there when they harvest their first whitetail. You can take your dad with you too so he'll be there when his grandson takes his first buck.
