Wow! in-depth article indeed. I really learned a lot from this. Sometimes I thought I already had those skills, but now I feel like a newbie in hunting.

Thanks for sharing this.

That's a great question Monty!I would say try to hunt your area when the wind is blowing towards the bedding area and put out a scent lure or attractant. Just make sure to get downwind of where you think they will be traveling. Maybe a scent that is a food source in your area or some doe in heat scent or buck lure. Maybe next year making a food plot on your hunting property or creating a bedding area on you land by planting some type of cover for the deer like sage grass.

Question...I hunt an area where the deer travel thru mostly(95%) at night. The deer are bedding down in an area approx. 0.25-0.50 mile away on private property....How can I get the deer to stay in or travel thru my area during the day on a permanent basis? (baiting & decoys are not legal in my location-Mass.)?

Thanks for stopping by Matthew! That is a very good question. There are a lot of different variables and without actually seeing the land it's tough. Also the stage of the rut where you are may be different than here. But I might consider a decoy and some doe in estrous and buck tarsal gland scent, and maybe some corn or apple scent. Try some grunting and rattling and a doe bleat. Or if you have access to the corn send someone through the other side to drive them to you.

I hunt a tree line that surrounds a bean field, and a cornfield(about 40 acres) thats on the outside of the treeline, and an alfalpha field to the north of me(about 40 acres) and the farmer didnt get his corn out because of the snow and the deer stay in the corn, I know the deer are in there, and Ive seen all the tracks in the snow, but hardly any leading out of the corn into the timber and I was wondering how could I get a deer to come out of the corn so I could get a shot?
