Headed Back Deer Hunting Big Bucks On Public Land In Kansas This Weekend

video management, video solution, video streaming Well last weekend I finally got to go deer hunting. Not only did i get to hunt some whitetails in Kansas but as a Kansas resident. I found some public hunting about an hour from my house and did a little scouting and hunted for the first time. The spot I was hunting looked very good. It was corn and soybean fields and fence-row woodlots with creeks everywhere. It was definitely a little different than the type of terrain I grew up deer hunting in Georgia. I got there early Saturday morning and scouted and located a nice little fence-row surrounded by cornfields on three sides and soybeans on the other. I thought I was dressed properly, it was in the low 30’s but something I wasn’t prepared for was the 20 mile an hour winds. I had a hard time finding a decent tree to get in and when I did I had to trim several limbs and started sweating and then the wind got me nice and cold. I have to admit I came out of the stand before dark that wind was just cutting right through me. But this weekend I am headed back and this time I will be ready. Those big bucks better be on there toes (hooves). I mean business this weekend.

The video I put on here is of a real nice buck that I filmed in Kentucky as I was driving on my way to move to Kansas. I’m driving down the highway and see these big bucks in a field and I pulled over and got out my camcorder and got some footage. I didn’t have a tripod and I had to zoom all the way in to get a decent shot of the buck but without a tripod the footage is very shaky. Oh well you can tell he is a very nice buck. Also I included a little footage of the public land I was hunting in Kansas last weekend.

Also I wanted to thank my good friend Kelley Mayhue from the group “Fishing with Dynamite” I asked him if he would be interested in doing a theme song for our hunting videos and he did a wonderful job on the song and I finally was able to figure out how to include it on a video. Let me know what y’all think about it. I think he did great job and I love the new song! Thanks Kelley I owe you one buddy! Soo yeah im kinda in your boat i just moved here from ky and im stationed on fort riley and i’ve been trying to get on the deer here in ks and its crazy im not used to this terrain and i cant seem to figure out the deer around here i’ve some rubs but im bowhunting and i cant seem to get a buck around here any tips would be great
