Austin Gets A Big Kansas Buck Deer Hunting With A Crossbow

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting a very nice young man named Austin. Terry from ChaseVideo.org called me and asked me if I would like to help him take Austin out deer hunting.Austin shot this buck deer hunting in Kansas with a crossbow.

Austin is blind from an accident that happened during a routine dental procedure. So when Terry asked me if I wanted to help him film the hunt I gladly accepted the invitation. We got out in the woods around 3:00 p.m. and we had a great time cutting up and having fun. Although we didn’t see a deer, it was really rewarding to be able to help take Austin out deer hunting, otherwise he might not of had the chance to still get out and go deer hunting.Austin harvested this Kansas buck on October 14, 2010.So I will definitely volunteer to help take him out again.

I recieved a call form Terry today and him and Austin went hunting this afternoon and Austin shot a very nice Kansas buck. It was a nice 8 pointer and Austin shot him with a cross-bow. I was so happy to hear that. Terry was able to get Austin’s cross hairs on the buck and get the camera turned on and get the hunt on film. I just can’t tell you how happy I am for Austin and Terry. Terry said they were sitting in the blind talking about how blessed they both were to be able to be out hunting together and they were talking about Austins Grandfather who passed away a few years ago and Austin asked his Grandfather to send him a deer and less than four minutes later the big Kansas buck showed up. Although it was not a huge Kansas buck it was the buck Austin wanted because he said his Grandfather sent that buck for him. Way to go guys that is a truly inspirational story. Terry has cancer and Austin is blind but that doesn’t stop them from getting out and enjoying the great outdoors. What a wonderful story! I wish I would have been there with them.

I am in Georgia, my dear sweet Grandmother passed away this morning and we will be laying her to rest this Saturday. She will be missed by many but never forgotten.” I love you so much Ann.”

Take a child hunting you will make memories that will last forever.
